Patient Access Steps

Requirements for a Meds Card

Citizens

  1. Name
  2. Proof of address
  3. Government-issued ID; Driver’s licence, Passport, Voters Id, etc.
  4. Recommendation from an authorized medical practitioner

Non-citizens

  1. Name
  2. Address of permanent residence
  3. Address while on island, or in the case of a cruise ship tourist, the name of the vessel and the port of entry
  4. The length of stay within the state
  5. The person’s passport bio-page
  6. An authorized recommendation from an authorized medical professional within Antigua and Barbuda

Patient Access Steps

Step 1

Online Patient Evaluation Form

The person enters their information into the online patient evaluation form

Step 2

Submission to Doctors' Portal

Information submitted and sent off to the Doctors’ portal

Step 3

Recommendation Issuance

The evaluation is done and the doctor sends a recommendation number the dispensary

Step 4

Patient Photo Capture

The patient photo is taken

Step 5

Payment Process

The patient makes the payment

Step 6

Submission to MCA

The information is submitted to the Medicinal Cannabis Authority for printing of the Meds card

Step 7

Meds Card Retrieval Options

The cards can be retrieved either at the of the dispensary or at the office of the Medicinal Cannabis Authority
